Topaz Video pricing: $25 annual, $59 monthly & cloud credits

This pricing guide uses current Topaz plan, license, and cloud-credit documentation and keeps desktop access separate from metered cloud processing. It is a price reference rather than an enhancement-quality ranking; verify the final checkout and required processing route before purchase.

Topaz Video pricing at a glance

Is Topaz Video free?

No. Topaz Video is a paid subscription. Topaz may offer trials or promotions, but the current product page lists paid Personal and Pro routes. Confirm the renewal total before installing or uploading a long project.

Personal vs Pro

Personal includes the desktop video models, unlimited local rendering and 25 monthly cloud credits. Its license covers personal work and organizations under $1 million in annual revenue. Pro adds the listed Pro models, seat management, 100 monthly cloud credits and full commercial use.

Choose Pro because the model, team or license is required, not only because the annual price is displayed as a smaller monthly number. Verify Mac and AMD support for specific local Starlight models before purchase.

Topaz Video vs Topaz Studio

Topaz Video is the video desktop subscription. Topaz Studio bundles Topaz Video, Photo, Gigapixel, Mobile, Bloom and Topaz for Web. The current Topaz Video page lists Studio at $69 month-to-month; its current annual offer and Pro bundle should be checked on the pricing page because promotional displays can change.

Studio Personal includes 300 monthly video cloud credits; Studio Pro includes 600. Choose a bundle only when the additional apps or larger cloud allowance replace purchases you would otherwise make.

Cloud credits are separate from local rendering

Local rendering is included with the desktop subscription. Cloud rendering is optional for most models and is required for Starlight models on a Personal license. Cloud cost depends on input and output resolution, frame rate, duration and model; there is no fixed price for every video.

Topaz's current cloud documentation lists separate monthly credit subscriptions from 80 credits for $9.99 to 9,000 credits for $499.99, plus one-time packs from 20 credits for $5 to 9,000 for $999. These are desktop cloud-rendering prices. Topaz for Web documents its own one-time pack schedule, so do not mix the two tables.

Topaz for Web and the Astra transition

Topaz says Astra video enhancement is moving into Topaz for Web. Existing files and credits are transferred, and the Astra interface is scheduled to become inaccessible on September 30, 2026. The models remain in the web experience; an old Astra page should not be treated as a separate long-term product recommendation.

Topaz for Web Video includes 200 monthly video credits and Pro includes 400. Its documentation says a 10-second, 30 fps Starlight render is about 5 credits to 1080p or 20 credits to 4K for the listed versions. Always use the pre-render quote because model, length and resolution change the cost.

How to budget a real job

• Choose the route. Local desktop, desktop cloud or browser web.

• Select a representative clip. Include the noise, motion and faces that make the footage difficult.

• Record the settings. Model, input and output resolution, FPS, duration and upscale factor.

• Preview before a long export. The cloud guide recommends previewing frames locally where possible.

• Use accepted-output cost. Include retries, rejected renders, download and correction time.

Commercial licensing

Personal routes are limited to individuals and organizations under $1 million in annual revenue according to the current product pages. Pro routes provide the broader commercial license. Topaz or a video generator?
