Which Magic Hour face-swap tool should you use?

Video Face Swap: use the video tool for one replacement face in a clip. Start with a short, clear sequence before committing to a longer paid export.

GIF Face Swap: use the GIF tool when the source or required output is an animated GIF rather than a standard video file.

Multiple Face Swap: use the multi-face tool when different people in the same photo or clip need different replacement portraits.

1. Upload the base video

Choose footage where the face is visible and reasonably sharp. A short clip with moderate movement is a useful starting point. Use a file you have permission to edit and keep the free tool’s duration limit in mind.

2. Add the replacement face

Use a well-lit portrait with a clear face and an angle that resembles the face in the clip. Avoid heavy blur, sunglasses, and obstructions. A larger source image cannot recover facial detail that was never captured clearly.

Check the selected inputs before generating. For a scene with several people, use Multiple Face Swap Video to assign a replacement portrait to each detected person.

3. Generate, inspect, and download

Generate the swap and wait for the result. Processing time depends on the job and queue; this guide does not promise a fixed completion time. Watch the entire clip before downloading, especially turns, expressions, hairlines, and moments when the face is partly obscured.

Download guest results before leaving the product page. A no-signup swap appears there; it does not establish a saved Library project. If the result is poor, first try a better-matched reference photo or a clearer section of the video. Keep the original files so you can compare revisions. The face-swap troubleshooting guide helps you inspect reference quality, movement, and blending before trying again.

Choose face handling for the problem you see. In the signed-in Face Swap Video editor, Smart is recommended for turns and temporary obstructions. Stable may better preserve facial hair and shape, with less stable edges. Compare the same short inputs and inspect the moving boundary; neither setting guarantees accessory preservation.

An unchanged output needs diagnosis, not identical retries. Check the route, one-face portrait and every Multi mapping. If the completed output remains unchanged or is technically broken, keep the project and contact support with its link or visible ID, route, time and expected versus actual result. Free versus paid output

Free video swaps include a watermark and have the limits above. Paid subscribers and credit-pack purchasers receive watermark-free output. Commercial use is available with a paid subscription, a credit-pack purchase or separately agreed paid usage-based billing, subject to the Terms and the rights to your source material. Paid subscriptions support watermark-free output and commercial use under their terms. Can you use it on a phone?

The tool runs in a browser and accepts local media uploads. Open it on your phone and use a compatible file from your device. An older tutorial’s YouTube-import instructions should not be assumed to apply to the current guest interface.

Can you change the speech too?

Face replacement and speech synchronization are separate operations. To change mouth movement to match a new voice track, use lip sync after checking the output format and required inputs. Do not assume that files transfer automatically between every tool.

What permissions do you need?

Use faces and footage you have permission to edit and publish in the intended context. Do not present the result as an authentic recording or a real customer experience when it is synthetic. Commercial rights to the tool do not replace rights to the source material.
