Choose the correct VidWud face-swap route

For one still image, use the photo tab of the official face-swap tool; its video tab also accepts GIFs. For a group image or clip, the multiple-face page offers photo and video modes with recognized-face controls.

For a photo: inspect the face region at normal viewing size. A large image can still contain a small, blurred face. Choose a replacement portrait with visible eyes, mouth and facial outline, then inspect the final blend against the original scene.

For video: start with a short segment containing the difficult moment: a head turn, changing expression, an obstruction or another person entering the frame. Review normal-speed playback and frames around that moment. Keep original audio separately when it matters, and check the downloaded file rather than assuming sound was preserved.

For a GIF: check the loop boundary, dimensions and frame timing in the actual downloaded file. A preview can look acceptable mid-loop but jump when it restarts. Judge suitability for the intended destination, rather than the central frame alone.

VidWud’s Privacy Policy, dated August 13, 2026, says uploads are typically deleted within seven days and model-training use requires disclosure and consent. It also says facial data is not used for recognition, authentication, surveillance or profiling. These are stated practices, not an audited deletion guarantee. Account information and diagnostic data can remain longer; operational service providers may receive necessary information. Review the current policy before uploading confidential or identifiable material.

The Terms of Use leave ownership of uploads with the user and require appropriate rights and permissions. They prohibit unauthorized impersonation and make users responsible for reviewing AI-generated material. A face-swap button or paid plan does not establish permission to use another person’s likeness or footage. Keep input permissions and the intended publication context with the project.
