What is VidWud?

VidWud is an AI face-swap product for replacing a face in an image or video. Face swap sits beside talking-photo, image-to-video and presentation tools. Use only media you own or have permission to edit, and obtain explicit consent from every identifiable person.

Choose the correct VidWud face-swap route

For one still image, use the photo tab of the official face-swap tool; its video tab also accepts GIFs. For a group image or clip, the multiple-face page offers photo and video modes with recognized-face controls.

Decide what must change before uploading: one identity in a portrait, one moving person, or several people with distinct replacements. Label the original scene and replacement portraits accordingly. For a group, keep a mapping sheet and check every intended person; a strong single-person result cannot establish group mapping quality.

Source and target labels: which file goes where?

VidWud labels the original scene input “Upload source image with a face” and the replacement portrait input “Upload target face photo.” For motion, the first input is the original clip. These roles follow the documented sequence, rather than a completed upload test. Follow the uploader’s roles when switching products; source and target terminology can differ.

For example, name an authorized scene original-scene and a fictional replacement identity replacement-portrait. If the wrong identity appears, verify those file roles before collecting more portraits or switching services. Keep the original files so an input mistake can be distinguished from a generated artifact.

How to map faces in a group photo or clip

VidWud’s documented group workflow uses the same input roles described above. Choose Photo Multi-Face Swap for a still group image, or Video Multi-Face Swap for a clip or GIF. Upload the original group file, then use Faces Recognized to assign the intended replacement portrait to each person you want to change. Review the person-to-portrait pairs before selecting Swap Face Now. Download the result and check every intended replacement, including crossings and re-entry in a clip. This is the documented sequence, not a retained generated group test; the controls alone do not establish tracking quality.

What VidWud does well

The public interface separates photo and video inputs and offers a dedicated multiple-face route. That makes the intended media workflow easier to identify before uploading. The available controls do not prove that every output is accurate: inspect eyes, teeth, hairlines, skin edges, occlusion, lighting and identity across the full clip.

Photo, video and GIF preparation

The single-person interface lists JPG, PNG and WEBP for portraits; GIF, M4V, MP4, MOV and WEBM for moving media. Its video upload warning states 200 MB. Listed extensions and an upload warning do not guarantee processing, export resolution or a maximum duration.

File-size limits need an account check. VidWud’s pricing table lists 100 MB per video for free access and 500 MB for paid access, while the single-person uploader’s warning says 200 MB. These public statements are not interchangeable upload guarantees. Check the selected mode and account’s actual validation before preparing a large file. If a clip is too large, retain the original and prepare a shorter test segment; do not assume a paid plan removes duration, format or processing limits.

For a photo: inspect the face region at normal viewing size. A large image can still contain a small, blurred face. Choose a replacement portrait with visible eyes, mouth and facial outline, then inspect the final blend against the original scene.

For video: start with a short segment containing the difficult moment: a head turn, changing expression, an obstruction or another person entering the frame. Review normal-speed playback and frames around that moment. Keep original audio separately when it matters, and check the downloaded file rather than assuming sound was preserved.

For a GIF: check the loop boundary, dimensions and frame timing in the actual downloaded file. A preview can look acceptable mid-loop but jump when it restarts. Judge suitability for the intended destination, rather than the central frame alone.

VidWud pricing and access

The dedicated face-swap page advertises free use without purchased credits. The broader Terms of Use allow paid access and credits. More specifically, the current pricing page lists limited free face-swap access and a media/face-count credit schedule. Its free marketing does not establish that every mode or export is unlimited.

Check the displayed charge in the exact photo, video or multiple-face workflow, then inspect the download. This documentation review has not verified a daily free quota, account-specific access, actual watermark, export resolution or processing time. Do not treat a general free-use headline as proof that your recurring workload is free.

For a paid offer, record the actual charge, renewal period, included balance and cancellation route. VidWud’s pricing FAQ says credits carry forward while a subscription remains active, but an unused balance disappears when the canceled subscription ends. Confirm the current account offer and Terms of Use.

One-time top-ups still require an active subscription. VidWud’s credit-pack terms limit packs to subscribers; unused credits expire when a canceled subscription ends. Buying a top-up does not create a subscription-free workflow. Checked October 21, 2026; confirm your account offer before paying.

Budget photo and video swaps separately

VidWud’s published credit schedule lists the following face-swap charges, checked October 17, 2026. These are vendor-listed credit units, not prices measured in a completed account transaction. Cash prices and promotions must be checked in the actual account or checkout; do not read an unloaded price placeholder as a free plan.

For example, one 15-second clip with four replacement faces is 2 × 4 = 8 credits under that published schedule. This is arithmetic from vendor documentation, not a completed generation or a claim about export quality. The table does not establish how partial 15-second units are rounded; check the tool’s actual estimate before submitting a longer clip.

Privacy, consent and commercial use

VidWud’s Privacy Policy, dated August 13, 2026, says uploads are typically deleted within seven days and model-training use requires disclosure and consent. It also says facial data is not used for recognition, authentication, surveillance or profiling. These are stated practices, not an audited deletion guarantee. Account information and diagnostic data can remain longer; operational service providers may receive necessary information. Review the current policy before uploading confidential or identifiable material.

The Terms of Use leave ownership of uploads with the user and require appropriate rights and permissions. They prohibit unauthorized impersonation and make users responsible for reviewing AI-generated material. A face-swap button or paid plan does not establish permission to use another person’s likeness or footage. Keep input permissions and the intended publication context with the project.

A commercial-use label does not clear publicity, copyright, trademark or contractual rights. Keep written consent, source licenses and disclosure records. Never use face swap to impersonate, deceive, harass or create intimate imagery without consent.

The current Face Swap completion screen does not automatically pass the result into Lip Sync: choosing a preset or YouTube input does not select your completed swap. Review lip timing and the full final clip again after the second edit.

How to test VidWud fairly

Use one permitted portrait, one difficult side angle and one short motion clip. Keep resolution, duration and source files constant. Record attempts, processing time, charged credits, watermarks, export resolution and whether the output was usable without manual repair.

Reject outputs with identity drift, unstable jaw or hair boundaries, flicker, incorrect occlusion, changed expression, altered skin tone or artifacts around glasses and hands. Compare cost per accepted output rather than cost per generation.

A review sheet for the actual deliverable

Set acceptance rules before generating: the intended person changes, identity remains recognizable, protected details stay intact, and the export fits the job. Record original files, selected mode, attempts, observed restrictions and output filename. Record zero cost only when no charge occurred; keep preparation and correction time separate.

For a photo, inspect eyes, teeth, the jaw-to-neck boundary, hair and accessories. For motion, add identity stability during turns and recovery after an obstruction. For groups, check each intended replacement and each person who should remain untouched. One frontal preview cannot answer those moving or multi-person questions.

If the wrong person changes, revisit selection and mapping. If identity drifts during a turn, compare that interval with the original clip. An unsuitable watermark, resolution or frame rate is a delivery failure even when the face looks convincing. Retain rejected attempts rather than reporting only the best screenshot.
