Quick Answer

Quick answer

Teachers appeared in stored prompts from 701 Magic Hour text-to-video creators from June through August 2026, more than any other profession in a screened ranking of common jobs. Astronauts appeared for 161 creators, giving teachers a 4.4-to-1 lead.

The result is a back-to-school surprise hidden inside AI creation behavior. When creators described scenes for AI video, the classroom job outranked doctors, farmers, soldiers, chefs, engineers, astronauts, police officers, and nurses.

Teachers finished first

1. Teacher: 701 creators and 1,040 completed text-to-video projects.

2. Doctor: 434 creators and 577 projects.

3. Farmer: 388 creators and 538 projects.

4. Soldier: 387 creators and 577 projects.

5. Chef: 365 creators and 548 projects.

6. Engineer: 287 creators and 374 projects.

7. Astronaut: 161 creators and 245 projects.

8. Police officer: 158 creators and 256 projects.

9. Nurse: 120 creators and 190 projects.

Teachers reached 1.6 times as many creators as doctors and 1.8 times as many as soldiers. The astronaut comparison is sharper: more than four creators mentioned teachers for every one who mentioned astronauts.

Creators can appear in more than one row, so the ranking does not force each person into a single choice. It measures which profession terms appeared across the broadest set of creators.

A job ranking, not a dream-job survey

The data does not show what creators do for work or which career they personally want. A teacher might appear in a classroom story, a comedy, an advertisement, a memory, or a fictional scene. The analysis measures prompt mentions, not sentiment or aspiration.

That distinction makes the result useful but narrow. It captures what people put into motion when making AI video on Magic Hour, not what the public would select on a questionnaire.

Methodology

Magic Hour analyzed 92,742 qualifying completed text-to-video projects from 48,840 creators, created from June 1 through August 31, 2026, using UTC dates. The analysis retained the latest warehouse row for each project and excluded deleted, disabled, templated, automated free-tool, and blank-prompt records.

Case-insensitive whole-word matching identified each occupation and common singular or plural variants. Distinct creators, not project volume, determined the ranking. Only occupations with at least 100 distinct creators appear in the public results.

The current text-to-video prompt builder contains no built-in teacher, doctor, soldier, or astronaut suggestion. Selected inspiration templates populate a template ID and were excluded. The prompt builder does contain a chef suggestion, which is disclosed because it may influence that row.

Privacy and editorial limits

No raw prompts, creator identities, project IDs, uploaded media, or generated media were published. The analysis uses aggregated counts, and every displayed occupation contains at least 100 creators.

English-language matching misses translations and synonyms. Prompt mentions do not establish a creator's job, dream job, sentiment, or finished video content. Magic Hour creators are not representative of everyone who makes AI video.

Citation-ready finding

Teachers were the most-mentioned profession in a screened ranking of common jobs in Magic Hour text-to-video prompts from June through August 2026, appearing for 701 creators, 4.4 times the 161 who mentioned astronauts.
