DeepSwapper face swap guide: illustrated portraits, official DeepSwapper mark, free photo and video access questions

Quick answer

DeepSwapper advertises free, unlimited photo face swaps without signup or watermarks. Video access needs a closer check: its video landing page says free, while its homepage FAQ says a subscription is required. For your own video or a broader editing workflow, compare Magic Hour; for local controls, consider FaceFusion. Verify the offered limits and rights before committing.

Magic Hour publishes this guide and is included as an alternative. DeepSwapper’s public tool, FAQ and policies were reviewed on October 12, 2026. We inspected its interface, but did not submit a generation or purchase a subscription. Vendor descriptions, observed interface details and our task-based recommendations are identified separately.

For the broader category, start with our AI face swap tools guide. This page answers the narrower DeepSwapper buying decision: what its free offer covers, which questions remain unresolved, and which workflow to choose next.

Use the correct DeepSwapper site

The product covered here is deepswapper.com. DeepSwapper and DeepSwap are different services. A price, refund promise or tutorial for one does not establish the other’s behavior. If you meant DeepSwap, use our separate DeepSwap pricing and workflow guide.

This distinction matters when a search result sends you to a similarly named tool. Confirm the domain before uploading a face or entering billing details. Keep the product name and account in your project notes so that a later support request goes to the service that actually processed the file.

What the current interface shows

DeepSwapper public mobile interface on October 12, 2026 showing original image, replacement faces and image, video and multi-face tabs before an upload

Observed interface, October 12, 2026: the original-media input and replacement-face input are separate, with photo, video and multi-face routes. Screenshot from the official public site, before any upload. This is interface evidence, not a generated result.

Treat the two inputs as different roles. The original image or clip supplies the scene, pose and action. The replacement face supplies identity. Accidentally reversing them changes the job. Before processing, name both files clearly and keep an untouched original for comparison.

How to approach a photo face swap

For a simple photo experiment, begin with one visible adult face and material you are authorized to use. A neutral, well-lit replacement portrait makes the identity easier to inspect. Use an original image with a compatible head angle; heavy blur, a tiny face or an obstruction gives you less usable facial information.

Open the image route, choose the original image, then choose the replacement face. Check the selected files before starting. Afterward, compare the result with the original at full size: look at eyes, mouth, jaw edges, hairline and the boundary against glasses or a hand. A plausible thumbnail can conceal a poor edit.

For a group image, write down which person should change and which should stay. Verify that mapping both before and after processing. If only one identity needs replacement, a successful edit should leave the others appropriate to the task; a tool detecting several faces does not by itself prove correct mapping.

Keep your acceptance rule narrow. For an informal invitation, a small boundary defect may be acceptable. For a paid portrait or advertisement, it may not be. Choose the standard before retrying rather than treating every additional attempt as an automatic improvement.

Is DeepSwapper video face swap free?

The answer is not settled by a free headline. DeepSwapper’s video landing page presents free video face swap, but the homepage FAQ says video requires a subscription. We did not complete a video request or checkout, so we cannot verify which entitlement applies to a particular account.

Before a long clip, check four things in the actual offered workflow: whether your file is accepted, whether generation requires payment, what duration and resolution are included, and whether downloading the finished result adds a restriction. An upload picker alone does not establish free processing or free export.

Start with a short consented clip containing a turn or expression change. Watch the full result at normal speed, then revisit moments where the face moves behind another object. Do not use a single poster frame as evidence that identity remains stable throughout the video.

If you already own the clip and want a direct alternative, Magic Hour’s video face swap provides a browser route for the original video and replacement face. Confirm the displayed limits and settings for the selected route. Face swapping and replacing spoken dialogue remain separate jobs.

Swap a face in your own video

Start with a short clip and a clear replacement portrait. Review the complete result before extending the project.

Pricing: compare the offer you can actually buy

We are not quoting a numeric DeepSwapper subscription price because this review did not verify a current checkout. A number copied from a directory, an older screenshot or an unrendered configuration is weaker evidence than the offer attached to your account.

For a paid job, record the charge, renewal interval, included allowance, expiry, supported duration and download resolution. Also record whether unused allowance survives renewal or cancellation, and what happens to an unsuccessful request. If the interface does not answer one of those questions, ask before buying a large allowance.

An illustrative budget makes the difference clearer: suppose a project needs six approved clips and you allow two attempts per clip. You need capacity for twelve attempts, not six. That is a planning example, not a DeepSwapper credit measurement. Substitute the provider’s confirmed charge for your exact mode and add editing time separately.

Keep a small project log: input filename, selected route, offered charge, completion state and whether you accepted the output. It helps distinguish a genuinely useful edit from a completed request you would never publish. A lower advertised unit price does not automatically mean a lower finished-project cost.

Check commercial permission before client work

DeepSwapper’s homepage FAQ allows commercial use, while section 3 of its Terms of Service describes personal use. The Terms page is dated January 1, 2024. We cannot resolve that inconsistency into a blanket permission or prohibition for every current plan.

For advertising, client work or resale, request written confirmation naming the product, plan and intended use. Keep that answer with the terms and offer available when you purchase. A watermark-free download is an export feature; it is not proof of permission to use somebody else’s likeness, footage or music.

A useful project permission check has two parts. First, establish that your provider permits the intended use. Second, establish that you can use the inputs and publish the resulting depiction. Consent to a private experiment does not necessarily cover a public endorsement or a paid campaign.

Privacy: separate processing from saved history

The DeepSwapper privacy policy describes ephemeral server processing of face data and also addresses account information, logs and service providers. Separately, its homepage FAQ says media can be stored when save-history or save-faces options are enabled. The camera-processing language does not explain how its retention promises apply to uploaded files or saved history; that applicability remains unresolved.

We did not independently test deletion or retention. Before a confidential project, confirm what is uploaded, whether account history is enabled, how saved faces can be removed, and what retention applies after deletion. Avoid turning a statement about one type of face data into a claim that the entire service stores no information.

For an initial workflow check, use a fictional adult or a person who has clearly authorized the edit. Remove unnecessary personal details from the files. If local processing is a requirement rather than a preference, consider a local workflow and review its own network, storage and model-license choices.

Cancellation and refunds need a separate check

DeepSwapper’s cancellation policy dated September 10, 2024 calls for cancellation at least 24 hours before the next cycle and says possible refunds require that credits have not been used. Its general Terms contain broader refund wording. Obtain clarification before treating either description as an unconditional money-back guarantee.

Record the next renewal date and retain the cancellation confirmation. Canceling future renewal differs from receiving a refund for a completed purchase. If the account controls or offer do not match the published policy, resolve the discrepancy with support before relying on a deadline.

Best DeepSwapper alternatives by task

Your task

Consider

Why it fits

Photo plus your own video in a broader browser workflow

Magic Hour

Separate photo/video tools and surrounding lip-sync and image workflows.

Local installation and configurable processing

FaceFusion

An operator-managed workflow; installation, hardware and model licenses require attention.

A still-photo swap followed by ordinary image editing

Pixlr

A dedicated photo swap beside a broader browser editor.

A straightforward browser photo swap

Remaker

Dedicated face-swap routes; verify their separate batch, video and API conditions.

Choose the task first. Magic Hour photo face swap is the route for a still image; video face swap is for footage. If your next step is a new recording with matching mouth movement, continue to Lip Sync after exporting the approved clip. This does not imply an automatic transfer between tools.

For local controls, our FaceFusion installation guide covers a pinned release and its settings. Local operation shifts responsibility to you: model selection, updates, storage and permitted use still matter. It is not automatically faster or easier than a browser service.

For a still image, Pixlr’s Face Swap page documents a photo workflow and PNG download. For another browser option, inspect Remaker’s official photo tool and our Remaker guide. Do not transfer one provider’s privacy or commercial-use terms to another.

See the difference between the target and replacement face

This retained Magic Hour demonstration uses two fictional adult portraits. The original scene supplies the jacket, framing and background; the separate portrait supplies the replacement identity. The final image is the previously published Magic Hour result from October 8, 2026.

This is one photo example from Magic Hour, not a DeepSwapper output or a comparison of provider quality. It illustrates the two input roles and what to inspect afterward. Look at the resulting identity and facial boundaries while comparing clothing and background with the original. It does not establish video consistency, processing speed, a guest-tool allowance or current cost.

For your own decision, use the same authorized target and replacement portrait across the shortlisted workflows. Keep the downloaded files together. If one result is unsuitable, record the actual defect—wrong identity, a visible seam or altered surroundings—before changing the input. An attractive example on a marketing page cannot replace that project-specific check.

The decision for a real project

DeepSwapper is worth examining for a casual photo edit when its offered workflow matches your needs. For video, paid work or sensitive inputs, the documentation conflicts are part of the buying decision. Resolve the relevant entitlement, permission and retention questions before committing a deadline or a large file set.

If the task is simply swapping a face in footage you already own, test one short clip with the same source portrait on your shortlisted tools. Approve identity, motion, boundaries and the final download. Choose the workflow that meets those requirements at a confirmed cost; this article does not establish a universal quality winner.

Frequently asked questions

No. This guide covers deepswapper.com. DeepSwap is a separately named service with its own site, pricing and policies.

No. The current DeepSwapper video landing page and homepage FAQ describe access differently. Confirm generation and download entitlement in the offered account workflow.

Confirm the provider’s permission and the rights to every input. DeepSwapper’s homepage and Terms currently conflict on personal versus commercial use; this review does not settle that discrepancy.

A face swap changes appearance. New spoken dialogue with matching mouth movement is a separate lip-sync task.

Compare the actual processing and export entitlement, accepted results, renewal, expiry, retention and permitted use. Directory prices and attractive thumbnails are insufficient on their own.
